We recently purchased our natural horizontal bamboo from your company and are extremely pleased with the look and quality. We looked at several companies, but Higuera Hardwoods was the only bamboo we found with a matte finish and we couldn't be more pleased with our selection. We installed approximately 2500 square feet of bamboo flooring. We installed the flooring in all of the first floor, and all of the second floor of the house excepting the bathrooms. The bamboo flooring is in use in our kitchen, living room, library, dining room, all 5 bedrooms, and all hallways and entryways. The flooring was put down in late July/early August 2005 and we moved into the house on August 22, 2005.

The floors have been exceptionally beautiful, easy to clean, and impervious to dents, cracks and the like which you have indicated was your concern. We simply ensured that we had a good installer, and made sure our installer followed Joe's instructions about the preparation, installation, and sealing of the floors to the letter.

Our reading from a number of sources informed us that bamboo is 25% harder than oak, which was one of the reasons we chose the material in the first place. We did a considerable amount of research on the internet looking at various bamboo suppliers, and also spoke to local flooring installers. We felt after our research that Joe was the most knowledgeable person about bamboo flooring we were able to find. He was extremely gracious with his time when we called to ask additional questions about the material, for advice about aspects of the installation when we were selecting an installer, and the like. He was completely ethical and aboveboard in all of our dealings with him; if we were to do it over, we would not hesitate to deal with Joe again.

The floor is holding up to teenagers, kids, dogs and cats (frequently all at once) and continues to look great.
