Bamboo paneling is very similar to many other types of panels or plywood’s; it can be cut and sanded using most conventional woodworking equipment. Our solid bamboo panels are produced with a low resin with an open grained material that takes stains and finishes exceptionally well, if you would like to stain the panels we have found an aniline dye works best. Higuera Hardwoods stranded bamboo panels are not recommended for stains or dyes.

Solid and stranded panels can also be glued and/or fastened using the same construction materials commonly used with standard wood products.

Higuera Hardwoods solid bamboo panel products are available in a 3-ply (cross laminated) and 1-ply (straight laminated-special order) both in a Carbonized (darker) and Natural (light) tone, this material is laminated to produce the two different surface grains of horizontal or vertical. The vertical grain appears as 1/4" strips for the surface and our horizontal grain pattern is a 1" wide bamboo strip on the surface of the panels. Higuera Hardwoods also has available a new chocolate color solid bamboo panel that is absolutely beautiful. We also offer a full line of stranded bamboo panels in carbonized, natural and mixed stranded coloring. (custom patterns or layups can be done in all types)

We are pleased to offer finish grade material on both sides of our paneling and a full 4 x 8 sheet size.
