Higuera Hardwoods FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) approved bamboo flooring planks are milled with tongue and groove edges on all four sides to provide interlocking assembly. Each piece is sanded multiple times on top with the finest German machinery and it comes with a rough glue-ready surface on bottom that is sealed to prevent moisture from entering as easily from the subfloor. The top edge above the tongue is all mitered and ready to accept standard flooring staples or cleats.
All of our high quality unfinished bamboo flooring is tongue and groove plank in 72" inches long by 5” inches wide by 5/8” thick.
Environmental impact and VOC information: Higuera Hardwoods products only utilizes a high quality manufacturing adhesive that emits less off gassing than allowed by United States OSHA ,the European E1 and our products comply with the new CARB Phase 1 & 2 emissions standards California has imposed. We do not use Urea formaldehyde in our products.

Hardness: Bamboo flooring according to ASTM 1037 (Janka Ball Hardness) showed an average hardness of 1530. (27% harder than northern red oak and 14% harder than hard maple). Due to the fact that bamboo is not a traditional hardwood that is grown over 20 or more years this rating can vary with the amount of rain , sun etc during its short 5 year season of growth.
