IEQc Credit 4.3: Low-Emitting Materials:
The U.S. Green Building Council's Leed's IEQ Credit 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials pertains to composite wood and agri-fiber products and contributes one point toward Leed's certification. This credit indicates that the adhesive agent used in the product contains a low voc adhesive.The USGBC intentions are for this requirement to contribute or reduce the quantity of indoor air contaminants that are odorous, irritating and/or harmful to the comfort and wellbeing of installers and occupants.
EQ 4.4: No Added Urea Formaldehyde:
Composite wood and Agrifiber products (MDF, particleboard, plywood, wheatboard, strawboard, panel substrates, door cores) used in interior of building shall contain NO ADDED UREA FORMALDEHYDE RESINS
MRc6: Rapidly Renewable Resource:
Higuera Hardwoods bamboo products qualify for Leed's MR Credit 6: Rapidly Renewable Materials because bamboo is naturally a rapidly renewable resource.
MRc7: Certified Wood Product (FSC):
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) ruled recently that Forest Stewardship Council FSC-certified bamboo panels and flooring can be included under Credit MRc7: Certified Wood, for projects seeking LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
